Music Producer Lorna James Talks Music, Inspiration & Favorites in Exclusive Interview
A unique talent seemingly only just at the start of her Electronic Music career, Lorna James has emerged on the scene with a skillset unparalleled to any other; coming from a background in Classical composition, her exploration into the world of Electronic Music sees her curating powerful productions, uplifting in energy and compelling in sound. Earliest musical memory?
Playing the piano aged two.
Favourite track you’ve ever composed and produced?
It changes, but currently it’s ‘Awakening’, a Tech House track which will be out later this year.
Top three artists of all time?
Chicane, Michael Jackson, Bruce Hornsby (is that weird?)

Biggest achievement in your career so far?
Hard to pick, but I recently made it to the semi-finals of the UK Songwriting Competition in the EDM category for my track ‘Feels Like’ – it’ll be released later this year.
Favourite piece of studio equipment?
It has to be my Yamaha piano.
One goal you are hoping to achieve during the next year?
I’m releasing two albums in the first half of 2024, Ambient and House music. I’d like to see them fly!
