Hi Meetch, pleasure to meet you! How’s it going?
It’s been going great recently! Nice to meet you too.
We’re well into 2024. We’d love to know more about any upcoming projects you may have in the works! Do you have any new releases or collaborations coming up this year?
I have a bunch of songs locked and loaded and I am so excited about it. Amongst those releases, I have a really cool collaboration with a vocalist from the Netherlands. No release date set on that yet. But there will be 1 song a month for hopefully the rest of the year. Next release upcoming is May 17th!
Do you plan on experimenting and blending House with other genres? If so, what types of musical influences are you looking to explore further?
Absolutely! This is actually my favorite things to do. During my live DJ sets, I love combining house with old throwback Hip Hop or other Mainstream top lines. So, I do always want to try a genre-crossing track. I do have a House/Hip-Hop track coming up but there are many like that already. I will come up with something super new and unique though soon for sure.
What is the inspiration behind your brand-new robot helmet?
Well, this robot started in 2013 when I created the first concept, so it’s not really new. But the professional one I have been rocking is super new and so incredible I can’t even believe it. It has launched my image and doing everything I hoped. While the full story about the robot discover is quite long, the summary is short. I saw a robot head from Minecraft in a shop on the beach boardwalk and thought of the idea of the robot electrifying head for DJing. Then, I bought it and basically had an arts and crafts week on it. I have since designed about 7 prototypes and styles since then. Until having a professional concept become a reality. I’m so hyped about it!
Now adding the robot helmet for your live sets, do you anticipate cool new visual effects or modifications to it this year? Would you see your brand identity evolving or remaining constant throughout your performances?
I have some INSANE new visuals coming! This was a great question. I have had my robot made into a digital 3D model and it will be part of my visuals very soon. I think my identity will be staying the same but always progressing and becoming better.
Do you have plans for connecting further with your fans via livestreaming your music or sets? If so, what platforms were you thinking to experiment on?
Well, I have tried this many times to do a video or livestream of my shows but the copyright stuff always takes in down on Facebook, Youtube & Instagram. TikTok is actually the only place it hasn’t gotten removed from. So maybe as my TikTok page grows, I’ll start live-streaming the full thing.
Have you ever considered using and creating NFTs to showcase your music and art? If not, what are your thoughts about it?
Nah, I’m not super educated in the NFT world, so that’s not really on the horizon for me. Who knows though!
Anything exciting in the works with new artist features and mixes from ‘Digital Dance Radio,’ that you’d like to share with us?
Well, I just had Robin Schulz as a guest mix, which is the biggest to date. So that was super awesome! Have no one 100% yeah, but my show is always growing and having great new features arise. So, I’m sure there will be some big surprises soon!
Are there any special venues or festivals you’d love to play at this year? If so, which ones are you most excited about?
Well like any upcoming artist, I’d love to be a part of one of the big festivals. But I think that may be on the horizon in year 2025. As of now, I have been performing a lot in LA and hope to start playing Academy and other really sick venues and clubs here. I have a very strong feeling I will get picked up by an agent soon, which is my true goal of 2024.
What are you looking forward to this year? Are there any goals or projects aside from music that you’re planning to accomplish?
Like my last answer, I’m looking to pick up a booking agent this year. I’ve been working with a great team and crew to line everything up for this to happen. But truly it’s about getting new music consistently flowing with big features and shows. And that is all happening this year. I have 1 song per month coming out and I’m going to try and get that until the end of the year. This is going to really open up a new portal for me for the following year. Getting very excited to play bigger shows and work with bigger collaborators.
