Hellänelli Brings Peak-Time Tech House Heat with New Single “Mehujää”

Helsinki producer Hellänelli is turning up the temperature with ‘Mehujää’, her latest release on Finnish electronic imprint Youth Control. Out now as YOU060, the single finds the rising artist leaning further into peak-time tech house, delivering a hypnotic roller built for packed clubs and sweat-soaked dancefloors.

Centred around the instantly memorable Finnish vocal, “on niin kuuma, että mun mehujää sulaa” (“it’s so hot that my popsicle is melting”), ‘Mehujää’ keeps things stripped back and relentlessly focused. Rolling low-end, crisp percussion and subtle, tension-building repetition do the heavy lifting, creating a groove that locks dancers in without ever overcomplicating the formula. It’s a track designed to do one thing exceptionally well: keep the energy high when the room is at its busiest.

The release marks another confident step forward for Hellänelli, who has quickly emerged as one of Finland’s most promising electronic producers. After making her Youth Control debut with the Leikki / Herään EP in 2025, she followed it with Valmis earlier this year, a deeper house cut that picked up support from Anna Lunoe, Andi Durrant, YleX and Radio FG, alongside coverage from Data Transmission, Housenest and Music Is 4 Lovers.

While her earlier material explored deeper and progressive textures, ‘Mehujää’ embraces a tougher, club-first aesthetic without losing the patient, immersive production style that’s becoming her trademark. Every loop and rhythmic variation is carefully placed, making the track feel equally suited to intimate underground venues and festival main rooms.

The single also continues Youth Control’s reputation as one of Finland’s leading electronic music labels.
