FunkT!de Makes SUNCTURE Return With ‘Insane Plan’
Out now via SUNCTURE, the latest FunkT!de production takes a playful and unpredictable approach to house, bringing together a driving groove, colourful textures and the producer’s unmistakable musical personality.
There’s a certain mischievous energy running through ‘Insane Plan’, the latest single from FunkT!de. Rather than playing things completely straight, the producer uses the track as an opportunity to experiment with rhythm, texture and character, creating a house record that feels just as much about personality as it is about the groove.
At its core, ‘Insane Plan’ is built to move. The rhythm section keeps things locked in and purposeful, while a collection of carefully placed vocal drops and trumpet riffs give the production its own identity. Elements appear, disappear and interact throughout the arrangement, keeping the track in motion without ever losing its central pulse.
What makes the record particularly engaging is its sense of play. FunkT!de has a knack for finding unusual details within a familiar dancefloor framework, and ‘Insane Plan’ embraces that instinct. There’s a muscular presence to the production that allows the groove to breathe, while the arrangement continually introduces small shifts that give the track a feeling of spontaneity.
It’s also a release that reflects the producer’s increasingly recognisable approach. Across his SUNCTURE catalogue, FunkT!de has moved comfortably between disco, funk, vocal-led house and more stripped-back club productions, always retaining an emphasis on musicality. Here, that philosophy takes a slightly more unpredictable turn, resulting in a record that feels playful without sacrificing its dancefloor purpose.
‘Insane Plan’ arrives during a particularly active period for both FunkT!de and SUNCTURE. Following ‘Burning’, as well as earlier releases including ‘Hold It Right There’, ‘Disco Voices’ with Sunora and ‘Locelafalit’, the new single adds another shade to an already varied run of productions on the imprint.
For SUNCTURE, the release continues a catalogue built around artists with a strong individual voice rather than a rigid genre template. Founded by Sunora’s Chertkovski and Alar, the label has developed throughout 2026 with releases from Sunora, FunkT!de and resident artist Kapir, connecting melodic house, indie dance and groove-focused electronic music through a shared emphasis on feeling and musicality.
