Lisbon-born, African-rooted and globally inspired DJ and producer DJEFF launches a brand new chapter in his musical journey with the release of “Wena” – available from March 28, 2025 via Kazukuta Records. Featuring the vocal expertise of renowned South African artist Shoba, this highly anticipated new record is the second single from DJEFF’s forthcoming album, ODYSSEY, following the release of “Lelo” ft. Boule Mpanya in October 2024.

Literally meaning “you” in Zulu, “Wena” showcases his signature style—where deep, soulful house meets pulsating Afro-house grooves—while incorporating Shoba’s distinct vocal artistry to create a rich, immersive listening experience.

Shoba, previously known as Shota, is a Durban-based singer, producer, and DJ whose genre-defying approach to music has earned him widespread acclaim. Born in Lisbon, Portugal, to an Angolan mother and a Cape Verdean father, DJEFF’s music is deeply rooted in his heritage.
