Belgian dance music history is crashing into the sound of today as Dimitri Vegas, Sylver and Pat B unveil a powerful new remake of the iconic anthem “Turn The Tide.” Released on 17 July 2026 via Smash The House, the collaboration gives Sylver’s beloved early-2000s hit a fresh hardstyle-driven edge without losing the emotion that made the original unforgettable.

More than two decades after “Turn The Tide” became a defining Eurodance and vocal trance record, its instantly recognisable vocal and melodic spirit return in a bigger, louder and festival-ready form. The new version blends nostalgic trance-inspired chords and the original Sylver vocal with thunderous bass stabs, gritty percussion and modern hardstyle energy.
The result is a record designed to connect generations on the dance floor. Long-time fans can relive the rush of the original, while a new audience gets to experience its emotional hook through euphoric build-ups and speaker-shaking drops.
At the centre of the release is Dimitri “Vegas” Thivaios, one half of global electronic music powerhouse Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike. Known for commanding the world’s biggest festival stages, including Tomorrowland, Dimitri Vegas brings his unmistakable high-impact production sensibility to the remake. Alongside him, Pat B adds further hard dance firepower, helping transform the classic into a peak-time weapon for 2026.
For Sylver, the remake arrives during a major celebration of the group’s legacy. The Belgian Eurodance and vocal trance act—featuring vocalist Silvy De Bie, keyboardist Wout Van Dessel and producer Regi Penxten—recently marked the 25th anniversary of “Turn The Tide” with limited-edition merchandise and an extensive 2026 European tour, which launched at Belgium’s Sportpaleis.
The original “Turn The Tide” remains one of Belgium’s most cherished dance exports, remembered for its soaring melodies, emotional vocal delivery and timeless club appeal. This new remake does not attempt to replace that moment—it amplifies it.
With classic trance emotion meeting new-school hardstyle power, Dimitri Vegas, Sylver and Pat B’s “Turn The Tide” is a full-circle dance-floor moment: a tribute to the past, built for the biggest stages of the present.
“Turn The Tide” is out now via Smash The House.
