Without further ado, let’s jump into the conversation!
Hi, Manu P and Federico Rosa, it is a pleasure to meet you! Congrats on the release of ‘Bailaito’! How are you doing?
Manu P:Hello, our pleasure. A thousand thanks.
Federico Rosa: Hello everyone, nice to meet you. Very well, thank you. I’m very excited about our latest EP “Bailaito,” we are achieving good results.
Could you share how you both decided to come together on this release? Did you work together in the studio or remotely?
Manu P: We are collaborating on several releases and usually work together remotely.
Federico Rosa: We have known each other for many years now and we enjoy collaborating to experiment and create new music. Since we don’t live close to each other, we usually collaborate remotely by exchanging projects, but we still get along well.
Could you share more about the inspiration and musical influences behind this hard-hitting Tech House track?
Manu P: We both are very aligned on the Tech House genre, which is also what we play. Therefore, it is quite automatic to produce something that represents us.
Federico Rosa: I was inspired by the modern Latin Tech House scene, trying to create something different from the usual. For example, the vocal was specifically recorded for the track, not the typical sampled voice from Dembow tracks. I like to experiment, let’s say.
What about this track defines your signature Tech House sound?
Manu P: From the vocal to the bassline and percussion it’s all very in line with what we like to play.
Federico Rosa: The drums and the arrangement of the track, I believe, are the fundamental parts to recognize our sound.
Were there new musical elements you added in this track that aren’t included in your other ones?
Manu P: The vocal was sung by a boy and we believe that it is the part that gives something extra to the song.
Federico Rosa: The only difference lies in the vocal and the hypnotic bassline.
What about this release stands out from your previous ones?
Manu P: We actually believe it is a continually evolving and improving process.
Federico Rosa: It’s the first track with a Latin vocal, and we were also able to collaborate with a great artist like Mihalis Safras, who did the remix for us.
Got plans to perform this track live together in the near future?
Manu P: We have already played it both in live events and in our podcasts.
Federico Rosa: Certainly, in the upcoming dates, there will be an opportunity to play this track together.
Were there valuable lessons you both learned from working together on this track?
Manu P: Nothing in particular. The only thing we believe is that we must always give continuity to work without having unnecessary breaks.
Federico Rosa: Working together, you always learn new things.
How would you like audiences to respond when listening to ‘Bailaito’?
Manu P: We hope the audience goes wild on the dancefloor when they listen to our song.
Federico Rosa: I hope it’s danced to by people in clubs and that it puts them in a good mood when they listen to it.
What’s next for Manu P and Federico Rosa? Anymore exciting collaborations coming in the near future?
Manu P: There will certainly be new collaborations both in terms of releases and live events.
Federico Rosa: Yes, of course, we will definitely do many more collaborations together, but for now, enjoy and dance to the rhythm of “Bailaito.” You will definitely hear some good things. Thank you all for the support <3
