Hi Tom, pleasure to meet you! How’s it going?
Hi, I’m doing great. Thanks for having me.
We’ve finally arrived to 2024. We’d love to know more about any upcoming projects you may have in the works! Do you have any new releases coming up this year?
I have worked on a lot of new music over the past weeks. Next release will be on my own label Red Trail Music.
Do you have any new upcoming collaborations with other DJs or producers?
Yes, I did another Progressive Breaks track together with DJ Paize and also working on 2 tracks with UK artist Julia Eliza. I also just started a project with Bee Singfield an upcoming producer and vocalist who has been writing some lyrics for a track of mine.
Anything exciting in the works with new artist features and mixes from your monthly radio show ‘Red Trail Radio,’ that you are looking forward to?
I recently had a guest mix by DJ & producer MOKX on the show which was really cool. I will have more guest mixes on the show every now and then but I can’t drop any names at this point.
Do you plan on experimenting and blending Deep House, Progressive House, or Melodic House with other genres? If so, what types of musical influences are you looking to explore further?
I don’t really plan those things to be honest, sometimes it just happens. For example, I was looking for a vocal sample recently and ended up using some choir sounds. I often find myself using influences from Classical music or World music and Afro House lately.
Are there any new pieces of equipment that you’d like to experiment with?
I just got some new plugins from Universal Audio, some really great sounding compressors and EQs, definitely going to use these in current productions. I’m also looking forward to Ableton Live 12.
Do you have plans for connecting further with your fans via livestreaming your music or sets? If so, what platforms were you thinking to experiment on?
I have been streaming on Twitch a few times and plan to do that again and more regularly in the future. Also planning to record a set for YouTube.
Are there any special venues or festivals you’d love to play at this year or in the near future? What would be your dream venue?
I’d really love to play in the Netherlands. I often attended events there and it was always a great vibe and amazing crowd. I once was on a boat party with Tinlicker which was insane, playing a boat party would be really cool.
Are there any goals or projects aside from music that you’re planning to accomplish?
As springtime is coming, I definitely want to get my mountain bike out more regular again and do some bike trips… time to get back in shape 😉
What are you most looking forward to this year?
Connecting with friends, fans and fellow artists and playing a few more gigs this year.
