California-based DJ and producer Jason Kushy has released his latest project, Side Effects, a two-track tech house EP available today, November 6, 2026, via OMNIX Records, under exclusive license to Universal Music Ltda.
Stream Side Effects on Spotify.
The EP features “No Distractions” and “Veneno,” two club-ready productions that highlight Kushy’s focus on driving energy, melodic accessibility and the connection between the DJ and the audience. The release follows his Beatport-charting Keep It Moving EP and continues a fast-moving chapter in his development as an independent electronic artist.
Kushy is based in Monterey, California, and was raised in Pennsylvania’s Lehigh Valley. His relationship with DJing began at approximately 11 years old, when he started teaching himself to mix using an $80 mixer in his parents’ basement. By eighth grade, he had launched his own DJ business, later performing at weddings, proms and parties. Those early experiences helped him develop the ability to read a room—an instinct that remains central to his sets and productions.
Since beginning his original release catalog in 2025, Kushy has surpassed one million Spotify streams, reached more than 120,000 monthly listeners and connected with over 450,000 unique listeners during the past year. His Keep It Moving EP on Direct Action Records peaked at No. 18 on Beatport’s Tech House Top 100 Releases chart.
His music has received support from Louis The Child, SIDEPIECE, Jauz, Wolfgang Gartner, Bingo Players and San Holo, with repost support from Dim Mak, Insomniac Records, Barong Family and Space Yacht.
Through Stay Kushy, he combines original music, minimalist artwork, exclusive edits and custom visuals inspired by games, animation and pop culture. With Side Effects, Kushy adds another focused release to his growing catalog while continuing to establish his sound in the contemporary tech house scene.
