A New Direction Takes Shape as TOMER Readies North for 2027
Developed alongside producer Dor Daniel, North features 10 songs, with three singles planned before the album and the first provisionally scheduled for February 2027.
TOMER will release his debut full-length album, North, in 2027, following two years of collaboration with producer Dor Daniel. The project grew from an extensive period of songwriting during a temporary move to Los Angeles and marks his first new release since 2023.
That year saw the arrival of Foretold, his seven-track debut EP, followed several months later by a standalone single. During the period surrounding the EP’s release, TOMER also performed in Tel Aviv, Kyiv, and Los Angeles, taking the stage at venues including Tmuna Club, Bel Etage, The Viper Room, and The Mint.
His attention subsequently shifted toward developing a larger collection of work. Writing, composition, production, and recording occupied the years that followed, gradually establishing the material and arrangements for North.
Finding the Album Within the Songs
The album began with a much larger body of material. While living temporarily in Los Angeles, TOMER wrote hundreds of songs, eventually selecting a few dozen to share with Daniel. Over the next two years, the pair worked through that selection until 10 tracks emerged as the final album.
Live drums, bass, and guitars formed the foundation of the recording sessions. The studio process allowed TOMER and Daniel to refine the songs through their arrangements and instrumental performances, developing the recordings over time.
The resulting project expands on the format of Foretold, giving TOMER’s next collection of songs the space of a full-length release.
The Road to North’s Release
“You Deserve Better,” “Half A Broken Heart,” and “Billionaire” are planned as the album’s three advance singles. The first is currently expected in February 2027, although the release order and exact dates remain unconfirmed. Music-video shoots are also planned as part of the rollout.
Following the album, TOMER intends to tour, with summer 2027 under consideration. Performance dates and locations have yet to be announced.
The singles will introduce listeners to the recordings developed throughout TOMER and Daniel’s two-year collaboration, ahead of North’s release later in 2027.
