Andre Beekmans Of The Art Of Light Brings A Creative Vision To The World’s Biggest Stages
As audiences embrace increasingly immersive concerts and live productions around the world, the most impactful moments often begin long before anyone steps on stage.
For Andre Beekmans, founder and lead creative behind The Art of Light, every project starts with a single objective: creating an experience that audiences will remember long after the final curtain falls.
Rather than treating lighting as an isolated technical discipline, Beekmans views every production as a unified visual experience where lighting, video, audio, staging, special effects, and artist branding work together to strengthen the emotional connection between performers and their audiences.
“I don’t see lighting as an individual aspect of a show,” Beekmans explains. “It’s part of a much bigger picture. Our job is to elevate the music, the artist, or the brand into another dimension by bringing every visual element together.”
This creative philosophy has become the driving force behind The Art of Light, an international production company specializing in lighting design, programming, show operation, and large-scale live entertainment. From arena tours and global music festivals to cinematic concert productions and branded events, the company has established itself by delivering visually immersive experiences that blend artistic vision with technical precision.
At the center of every production is collaboration.
“My favorite part is working alongside artists and creative teams,” says Beekmans. “Every artist evolves, every tour evolves, and every visual identity changes over time. Being able to grow with them and develop those ideas together is one of the most rewarding parts of what we do.”
That collaborative approach extends far beyond the artists themselves. The Art of Light works closely with programmers, lighting operators, video specialists, production managers, stage designers, and creative directors, ensuring every creative and technical element contributes to one cohesive production.
For Beekmans, delivering that level of integration requires flexibility as much as creativity.
“Live entertainment teaches you very quickly that deadlines are absolute,” he says. “When the doors open, the audience doesn’t see the challenges behind the scenes. No matter what happens during production, you find a solution and make the show happen.”
That mindset has become one of the defining principles behind both Beekmans’ career and the company’s continued growth.
Another lesson remains equally central to his philosophy.
“You’re only as good as your last show,” he explains. “Every audience deserves the best experience possible, and every project is another opportunity to improve.”
Looking ahead, Beekmans and The Art of Light continue expanding their international portfolio with major touring productions across North America and Europe, including immersive concert experiences inspired by globally recognized gaming and entertainment franchises. The company is also contributing to several large-scale productions that remain under wraps until official announcements are made.
As The Art of Light continues to grow, Beekmans aims to become involved even earlier in the creative process, helping shape productions from the first conceptual discussions through final execution.
“Our goal is to design entire experiences from beginning to end,” he says. “The earlier we become involved in a project, the more opportunity there is to create something truly memorable.”
For Beekmans, success is measured not by the technology on stage, but by the lasting impression left with the audience.
“Our hope is that people don’t just remember the lights,” he says. “They remember the feeling they had during the show. If we’ve helped create a memory they’ll talk about for years, then we’ve done our job.”
With an expanding international portfolio and an increasing presence across some of the world’s most recognized live productions, Andre Beekmans and The Art of Light continue to push the boundaries of creative production through thoughtful design, technical innovation, and a collaborative vision that is helping shape the future of live entertainment.
